Former inmate arrested on the same day he got out of prison

IT’S the Return of The Mack!

A man who had been released from prison was arrested a few hours later for beating up his wife. Panashe Muswere (46)had been to “college” on theft charges.

While behind bars, his wife Sithembiso Ncube (33)did not bother to visit him-even during public holidays.

Muswere got his freedom on 6 May and went home to surprise his wife with that “Honey I’m home “kind of thing.

Before getting home,he decided to go to a beer garden for a drink. It had been long since he last enjoyed the wise waters.

To his surprise,he bumped into his wife with one Alita Mahlangu- a suspect lady of the night, having a drink together.

That did not go well with him and he attacked the women who were only saved by police officers on patrol who arrested him on assault and physical abuse charges.

Muswere appeared before Western Commonage courts magistrate Temba Chimiso and he pleaded guilty to the charges.

The court heard that Muswere of A5879 Old Pumula was released from Bulawayo Prison on 6 May where he had been serving his sentence.

On his way home,he passed through Pumula North Beer Garden where he found his wife Ncube seated with Mahlangu drinking beer.

He reportedly became angry and beat up his wife with fists turning to her friend whom he also assaulted.

The two sustained serious injuries and police referred them to United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH)for treatment.

The doctor’s report were produced in court as exhibit. Muswere pleaded for forgiveness citing that he was disturbed and became jealous as his wife was in the company of a pr_ostitute which did not go down well with him.

He was remanded in custody to 13 May.
