Fugitive sends selfie to cops ‘claiming his mugshot was unflattering’


A WANTED man sent police a selfie of himself after they posted an “unflattering” picture of him on social media.

Fugitive Donald “Chip” Pugh sent the Lima Police Department a private message with a picture to replace the mugshot authorities had released.

Pugh, from Ohio, wrote: “Here is a better photo, that one is terrible.”

Humouring the request, the cops then released Pugh’s selfie mugshot along with his official photo on its Facebook page

They said: “This photo was sent to us by Mr Pugh himself.

“We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges.”

The 45-year-old was later arrested in Florida following a tip off, cops said.

Officials said Chip is wanted for missing a court appearance, and is a person of interest in a few other cases – including arson and vandalism.
