Hundreds EVICTED in Harare by The Sheriff

Hundreds of families who were settled in Caledonia were evicted from their homes by the Sheriff of the High Court. The evictions have left a trail of destruction and the families are stranded with no shelter. The Sheriff, accompanied by armed members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police antiriot squad demolished their homes.

For the now homeless mothers, most of who have infants, the world has come to an end with no hope for recovery in sight. They claim politicians are behind their downfall.

Chairpersons of the housing cooperatives affected who control 11 000 stands at the affected area claim they were issued with documentation for the area by the then Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Dr Ignatius Chombo in 2013.
