People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Tendai Biti has said that it is virtually impossible for him to work with MDC president Morgan Tsvangirai following differences that led to Biti leaving the party.
This comes after media reports that Tsvangirai had sent emissaries to his former secretary general, to initiate talks that could pave way for a grand coalition of opposition parties heading into the 2018 elections.
Biti however said that though he is in talks with former Vice President Joice Mujuru, he does not foresee an alliance with Tsvangirai.
He says they differ in principles and values, and the chasm between them has continued to grow.
Meanwhile, Rugare Gumbo who is the spokesperson for the Zimbabwe People First party said that while his party was prepared to work with Tsvangirai and all opposition parties, it was premature to talk of any coalition.
