SOUGHT-AFTER musician, Jah Prayzah left Harare for South Africa yesterday to shoot the video of Sendekera, a duet with popular South African duo, Mafikizolo.
The audio version of the single was recorded at the famous DJ Maphorisa studios in Midrand, Johannesburg early last month.
Jah Prayzah said the video will be released on You Tube on February 13 as he targets Valentine’s Day.
Today has been set aside for rehearsals while the shoot will be tomorrow and Thursday.
Main characters on the video will be Jah Prayzah, Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza, who are three-time winners of the South African Music Award for Group or Duo of the Year as Mafikizolo.
Sendekera will however, NOT be part of Jah Prayzah’s 2017 album set for later this year.
“I am on my way to the airport right now. We are shooting the video for the single I did with Mafikizolo on Wednesday and Thursday. We are using tomorrow for rehearsals. If all goes well I intend to launch the video on You Tube on February 13 so that it coincides with Valentine’s Day,” said Jah Prayzah
Sendekera is about a beautiful girl who leaves home to enjoy party life and is not willing to go back home.
Jah Prayzah also revealed that he has done a second collabo with Tanzanian giant, Diamond Platinumz after their record-breaking Watora Mari, whose video had reached 3,795,005 views early last night.
The second collabo is titled “I miss you” and will feature on Diamond Platinumz’ upcoming album with Jah Prayzah making his vocals contribution shortly after their performance at the HICC last month.
Date for release will be determined by the Tanzanian superstar.
Jah Prayzah said he has been receiving an overwhelming number of requests for collabos and they are currently working on one with Namibian songstress, Sally who is popularly known as Boss Madam.
“There are many more collabos coming this year and we have already started working on one with Sally from Namibia. We did the instrumentals at my studio and we have sent to her. Apart from Sally there have been numerous requests that have come.
“I will not be able to do collabos with all those who have sent requests. We will evaluate each and do those that we are able to after factoring all the important factors.”
