Manyuchi’s next fight will be in Harare

Boxing champ, Charles Manyuchi’s next fight will be in Harare.

Over 70 boxers have challenged him. Manyuchi was upbeat about winning the Harare bout which he said he would dedicate to President Robert Mugabe and the whole country.

“I have a fight on August 27 here in Harare and I want to dismantle the guy in my own country,” Manyuchi told Zanu PF members at the party national consultative assembly.

champYes, I am a good boxer. When I am in the ring, I am possessed. I use the Zanu PF fist when I fight. My father [Mugabe] uses a fist [the Zanu PF slogan] and this is the fist I use to earn a living.”

The Zanu PF members, particularly women, immediately burst into song in praise of Manyuchi.

In July last year, Mugabe gave Manyuchi $50 000 cash for successfully defending his title when he beat Italian Gianculla Frezza in the sixth round in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy.
