The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) says it is high time to restructure the Zanu PF party to fulfill its mandate of saving the interest of the people.

The war veterans said peace and unity should characterise Zimbabwe and the nation moves forward in the new dispensation

Addressing members of the association and Zanu PF members at the party provincial offices in Harare today, ZNLWVA Secretary General, Victor Matemadanda said they want to follow the footsteps of President Emmerson Mnangagwa in rebuilding the country and strengthening the party.

“Going forward, the ZNLWVA urges tolerance to divergent views, noting that intolerance to opposing views leads to polarization,” he said.

Zanu PF Harare Provincial Chairperson, Godwills Masimiremba also said they want to thank the war veterans for contributing to the win of President Mnangagwa in just-ended elections.

Member of the Politburo, Cleveria Chizema noted that Zanu PF had to work hard for its victory through massive campaigns.

The meeting was meant to assess the degree of damage at the offices following last Wednesday’s violence in Harare.
